George Square is the main civic square in
Glasgow, named after George III. There are statues of many famous people
all over the square, including Queen Victoria, Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott, and James Watt. |
St.Mungo's Cathedral, now Church of Scotland,
was built from the late 12th c onwards and is a superb example of Scottish Gothic architecture. It is one of the few Scottish medieval churches to have survived the Reformation unscathed. |
